HOST welcomes international students in the UK!

A HOST visit will be an interesting and valuable addition to your experience of Britain.

It is a unique opportunity to get away from the campus and out into the community; to meet British residents and find out more about the everyday life of this country by sharing it for a short time.

Before you apply, we would like you to understand how HOST works.

If you have read the information about 'how HOST works' and now wish to register and apply for an invitation, go to registration and application.

HOST visits are FREE, but you will need to pay your own travel costs to the host. There is an application fee of £42.30 (£36.00 plus VAT), but some universities and colleges pay all or part of this fee for you. Click here to see if you need to pay for your application. HOST does have a small fund of money to help students with these expensesif they would not be able to have a HOST visit without this help. If you think you may qualify for help, please read the information on the Hardship Fund application form.

Students love HOST! We are currently processing a very large number of applications for visits in May. You are welcome to apply today for an invitation, but we regret that the first dates available for new applicants will be in June. Please enter the application process and tell us when you will be free for a visit in July or August.  Britain is beautiful in the summer!
