Student Feedback

Visit the seaside

We started at the very beginning. I remember hearing on Radio Solent about this new thing called HOST and thinking it was a good idea. Our first guest was Kim from Malaysia and we have kept in touch a lot over the years.

Our 2nd student was Ka Yee Ip (Carrie) from Hong Kong and we still hear from her. She has been back to visit several times when in UK and brought her husband and daughter Wendy to see us too.

Award Winning Quote:

I have applied for Edinburgh trip through the HOST UK programme. First of all, I would like to convey my sincere thanks to the governors of the programme, its staff and Regional Organisers for giving me and my friend, who accompanied me during the trip, an excellent opportunity to visit a such beautiful town and explore the culture of Scotland. Secondly, I would love to thanks my hostess, Ms. Elspeth MacGregor and her family and friends for their very warm welcome and hospitality. We felt as living in our own family while staying with them. It was such wonderful. That is very great chance to international student like us to discover culture and people in different areas within the UK, which we can introduce to our friends about the place where we have stayed for at least a year for study. People there are very friendly and kindly. We are very happy with the trip. Once again, thank you very much the HOST UK. With my best regards,

Lan Nguyen, University of Westminster
